Sowing Time in Ireland
Sow outdoors from May to July once all risk of frost has passed and soil is warm.
Germination
7 to 14 days in soil temperatures between 12 and 20 degrees.
Spacing
Sow seeds 5 centimetres deep, spacing 20 centimetres apart at the base of supports.
Position
Full sun in fertile, well drained soil enriched with organic matter. Provide strong supports such as poles, netting or a bean frame.
Harvest
Harvest from July to September. Pick regularly while pods are young and tender to encourage continued production.
