Growing Information for Ireland
Sowing Time in Ireland
Sow outdoors from March to July for harvests from early summer into autumn.
Germination
7 to 14 days in soil temperatures between 8 and 20 degrees.
Spacing
Sow seeds 2 to 3 centimetres deep. Thin seedlings to 10 centimetres apart once established.
Position
Full sun in well drained, fertile soil enriched with organic matter.
Harvest
Harvest from June onwards when roots reach golf ball size or larger, depending on preference.

In Ireland’s mild climate, sow little and often every three weeks for a continuous supply.
Keep soil evenly moist to prevent woody roots.
Thin seedlings carefully, as each seed cluster can produce more than one plant.
