Sowing Time in Ireland
Sow outdoors from March to September for continuous harvests.
Germination
4 to 10 days in soil temperatures between 7 and 20 degrees.
Spacing
Sow thinly in rows and thin seedlings to 3 to 5 centimetres apart for Rambo.
Allow more space for Daikon, up to 10 centimetres between plants.
Position
Full sun or light shade in well drained, fertile soil.
Harvest
Rambo radish can be harvested in as little as 3 to 4 weeks.
Daikon typically matures in 6 to 8 weeks.
